Our courses all use student centred methods such as skill demonstrations & practice, groupwork, question & answer sessions & case studies. We augment the above strategies with tutorials & demonstrations to give a well balanced interactive learning experience for all students.

Formative Assessment will be ongoing throughout the course by the trainer. On our FAW courses there is a final assessment on the last day conducted by independent assessors.

First Aid courses

HSE Approved Courses:

First Aid at Work (FAW) 3 day (initial) This is the 4 day Health & Safety Executive Approved First Aid course for Full First Aiders in the workplace.

First Aid at Work 2 day Requalifier (REQ) This is the 2 day Health & Safety Executive Approved First Aid Requalifier course for current Full First Aiders in the workplace.

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) 1 day This course complies with the minimum HSE required First Aid presence in the workplace for appointed persons

HSE Strongly Recommended courses:

Basic Skills update (annually) for First Aiders Ideal for updating and refreshing first aiders' knowledge and skills to the latest protocols

First Aid at Work Trainer This course gives students an introduction to training and assessing methods and strategies used when delivering and assessing First Aid courses and the knowledge & skills to maintain a First Aid at Work Trainers portfolio of evidence.
